Frames in focus

Four mature families. Both OEM lineages.

We concentrate on the frames where mature-fleet demand is deepest — shown here by their Siemens and Westinghouse designations, with the structural signature that sets each apart.

See hardware by scope

Why plants call us

Mature fleets are not legacy fleets.

A mature Westinghouse or Siemens unit commissioned back in the early '90s still carries baseload today. But the hardware that supports it has drifted out of OEM focus — long lead times, catalogue withdrawal, quotes that assume you have no alternative. That gap is the whole of our business.

B/01

Verified against accumulated fleet data

Across years on multiple sites we've built a library of physical material samples and measured data. Every item is checked against that accumulated reference so it meets OEM-equivalent form, fit and function — with material certification and a dimensional report on delivery.

B/02

Priced and paced to the outage window

Lead times are quoted against your outage date, not ours. Where the window is tight we will tell you what is realistically achievable and what is not — including when the honest answer is to defer the scope.

B/03

Engineers on the other end of the line

Our team has run gas turbine fleets, negotiated LTSAs and sat on the plant side of the table. You get a technical answer about your unit, not a catalogue number read back to you.

Unit down and hardware missing. We work the source, the freight and the paperwork in parallel until the unit is back.

From the plant side

What operators say.

We had a combustion inspection five weeks out and a retainer set that nobody could source. TriAxis matched it against their own sample and measurement data on day two and delivered inside the window. The dimensional report was in the box.

Outage Manager 2 × F-class CCPP · Gulf region

What sold us was the technical call, not the price. They pushed back on half of our bill of material and explained why. That conversation saved more than the parts cost.

Head of Maintenance Mature Westinghouse fleet · Southeast Asia

Our frames are old enough that the OEM catalogue has moved on. TriAxis treats mature units as an engineering problem rather than an obsolete line item. That is rare.

About TriAxis

Built by people who have owned the outage.

TriAxis Energy Industry was founded by engineers out of the utility, IPP and OEM sides of the power business — the three axes the name refers to. We have written the LTSA, defended the O&M budget, and stood on the deck at 3 a.m. waiting for a part that never arrived.

  • Utility fluency. We know what a plant manager is actually accountable for.
  • IPP discipline. Availability, liquidated damages and lifecycle cost drive every recommendation.
  • Fleet-data literacy. Years of samples and measurements across sites tell us how these parts really behave.

Next step

Send us the frame and the outage date.

That is enough to start. A 30-minute technical call with an engineer who knows your unit — no obligation, no procurement funnel, no slide deck.

Or send your bill of material through the contact form — we'll take it from there.

Home / About

Three axes: the utility, the IPP, the OEM.

We have worked all three sides of the gas turbine business. TriAxis exists because none of them was solving the same problem the plant actually had.

The story

It started with a part that did not arrive.

A combustion inspection on a mature Westinghouse unit. Everything planned, everything approved. Then a set of retaining hardware — unglamorous, low-value, entirely un-substitutable — came back from the OEM with a twenty-two week lead time and a price that had quadrupled since the last outage. The unit sat. The availability penalty ran. Nobody could explain it, because nobody in the supply chain was an engineer.

That situation repeats across the world's mature Westinghouse and Siemens fleets every single week. The big components have a market. The rotor has a market. The blades have a market. The miscellaneous hardware — the thousand small items with no glamour and no alternative — has been left to drift.

TriAxis Energy Industry was founded to close exactly that gap: to treat the unfashionable half of the bill of material with the same engineering seriousness the hot section gets.

Mature fleets still carry the grid. They deserve a real supply chain.

Mission

Keep mature units running on honest engineering.

Our mission is narrow on purpose. We want every plant running a mature Westinghouse or Siemens gas turbine to have a supplier who can read the hardware, argue the scope, and be trusted to say "do not buy that" when the part is not needed.

Not a broker. Not a catalogue. A technical counterparty on the plant's side of the table.

Difference

What makes us different.

Four things, and none of them is price. Price follows from getting the other four right.

D/01

We start with the engine, not the enquiry

Before a quote, we want the frame, the operating profile, the last outage report and the failure history. Half the time that conversation changes what you buy. We would rather sell you less and be there for the next fifteen years.

D/02

Traceability is not an upsell

Material certification, mill test reports, dimensional inspection and specification control are included, not offered as a premium tier. If a part cannot be traced, it does not leave the building.

D/03

We tell you what we cannot do

There are items we will not touch — anything where the failure mode is safety-critical and the pedigree is uncertain. You will hear that from us clearly and early, and we will point you back to the OEM without resentment.

D/04

Global reach, single point of contact

One engineer owns your account from first call to final delivery note. You will not be handed between a sales team, an expediting team and a logistics team, repeating your unit history each time.

Home / Services

Gas turbine hardware, consumables and technical services.

Six capabilities, built around one idea: a mature Westinghouse or Siemens unit should never lose availability because of a part that nobody took seriously.

SVC/01 · COMBUSTION

Gas Turbine Miscellaneous Hardware

The structural small parts across the whole gas path: bolting and studs, retainers and retaining rings, shims, keys, dowels, locking plates, clips, spring seals and anti-rotation hardware. Matched to your part number and verified against our accumulated sample and measurement data — not to a generic frame standard.

SVC/02 · ALL STATIONS

Power Plant Turbine Consumables

Gaskets and sheet gasket stock, rope and packing, anti-seize and thread lubricants, cleaning media, borescope port plugs, lockwire, and the consumable tail that always runs out on day three of an outage.

SVC/03 · HOT GAS PATH

Obsolescence & Reverse Engineering

When a part number is withdrawn or the lead time is unworkable, we requalify it: sample material analysis, dimensional capture, manufacturing route selection and first-article inspection, with a written engineering justification you can put in front of your insurer.

SVC/04 · ADVISORY

Gas Turbine Technical Services

Spare parts strategy and stocking policy, criticality ranking, outage bill-of-material review and challenge, LTSA and CSA scope review, and independent assessment of OEM recommendations before you commit budget.

SVC/05 · OUTAGE

Outage Readiness Kits

One consolidated, labelled and traceable kit per planned scope — combustion inspection, hot gas path inspection, or major overhaul. Packed to your work order structure so the crew opens a box that matches the job card, not a pallet of loose cartons.

SVC/06 · 24/7

Emergency Forced-Outage Support

Unit tripped, hardware damaged, no stock. We work sourcing, expediting, freight and customs documentation in parallel, and we tell you the honest recovery date rather than the one you want to hear.

How it works

From first call to hardware on the deck.

Four steps. The first one is free and it is the one that matters most.

STEP 01

Technical call

Thirty minutes. Frame, serial, operating profile, outage date, the parts causing trouble. An engineer, not a sales rep.

STEP 02

Scope & challenge

We review your bill of material against failure history and our fleet data, and tell you what to add, cut or defer.

STEP 03

Quote against the part

Line-by-line quote with part number, material specification, certification scope and a lead time tied to your window.

STEP 04

Kit, ship, document

Inspected, kitted to your work order, shipped worldwide with certificates and dimensional reports in the box.

Where we work

Built around four mature frame families.

Our sourcing, data and technical depth are concentrated on these frames — identified below by both their Siemens and Westinghouse designations.

Questions

Straight answers.

The things procurement and engineering ask us before the first order.

No. TriAxis Energy Industry is an independent supplier of gas turbine miscellaneous hardware and consumables. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting as an agent for Siemens Energy or Westinghouse. We reference OEM frame designations solely to identify the equipment our parts are intended to serve. Where an item is genuinely better sourced from the OEM, we will tell you so.

We focus on four mature frame families, using both the Siemens and Westinghouse designations: SGT5/6-2000E (Vx4.2), SGT6-3000E (W501D5 / D5A), SGT5/6-4000F (Vx4.3A) and SGT6-5000F (W501FC / W501FD). If your unit is close to one of these, ask anyway — coverage grows with demand.

As standard: material certification to EN 10204 3.1, a dimensional inspection report checked against our accumulated sample and measurement data, and full traceability from raw material to delivery note. Higher levels of inspection — third-party witness, NDT, first-article inspection — are available and are quoted transparently as separate line items rather than buried in the unit price.

It depends entirely on the item and where the material sits. Standard consumables and common hardware can often move within days. Anything requiring manufacture is bounded by real process time — heat treatment and certification cannot be compressed by paying more. We will give you a date we can defend, and we would rather lose the order than promise a date we will miss while your unit is down.

Yes, and we prefer to. Send the bill of material, the outage scope and the last inspection report. In most reviews we recommend removing or deferring items as well as adding them. The review is free, it is done by an engineer, and there is no obligation to buy anything from us afterwards.

Worldwide. We handle export documentation, certificates of origin and customs paperwork, and we will work to your preferred Incoterms. Our engineers stay on the shipment until it is on your deck — expediting is not handed to a separate team that has never spoken to you.
